Job description

Job Summary

PHI Health is looking for highly skilled and dedicated pilots to lead life‑saving missions as a Captain on our EC135 fleet. The role requires 24‑hour day/night rotation and aircraft transition, with a relocation package available that requires a 2‑year minimum service commitment. Successful applicants will participate in community outreach and adhere to PHI Air Medical policies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform line pilot duties in accordance with GOM.
  • Support the Safety Management System, Destination Zero, and other safety campaigns.
  • Work with both internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service.
  • Assist in loading and unloading patients and equipment, lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • Maintain a 24‑hour day/night rotation schedule.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive base pay plus shift bonuses and shift incentives.
  • Annual Safety Bonus and Annual Employee Bonus.
  • Sign‑On Bonus up to $50,000.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings.
  • First‑class medical certificate.
  • CAMTS certification with at least 2,000 total flight hours:
    • 1,500 hours on helicopter (including 1,000 hours PIC on helicopters and 500 hours on turbine helicopters).
    • 100 hours of unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided plus 100 hours NVG.
    • 75 hours of instrument flight (actual & hood).
  • Must meet the company’s flight personnel weight restriction policy (maximum 235 lbs).
  • Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
  • Ability to pass a pre‑placement physical exam with functional capacity (including lifting 100 lbs), drug screening, and background check.
  • Interview acceptance by customer/PHI management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Residential area within a one‑hour commute of the base.
  • Schedule flexibility for the 7&7 duty schedule, with possible changes.
Schedule and Location

Schedule: 7&7; the day of the week changes with the base schedule. Applicants must reside within a 1‑hour or less commute of the assigned base.
