We're seeking a Full-Time Nutritionist who is passionate about health and wellness to develop and maintain person-centered nutrition programs that support whole-person health, sustainability, and behavioral health best practices. This role ensures consistent, high-quality services across multiple outpatient locations while supporting regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The Behavioral Health Nutritionist may also assist with developing nutritious, inclusive menus for Copa Health's housing and residential programs Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains nutritionally balanced menus for members.
  • Provides group and individual services related to holistic nutrition as assigned.
  • Provides community and office-based nutrition skills and education for members and/or at events.
  • Utilizes Motivational Interviewing techniques to guide members toward healthy behavior changes that are right for them.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of services provided in collaboration with the primary care providers and nursing staff.
  • Creates improved techniques and methods of implementation consistent with recovery principles.
  • Drives initiatives that contribute to long-term operational and clinical excellence of the department.
  • Participates in the development of new services as needed; participates in research studies as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelors and a minimum of one year experience related to nutrition.
  • Experience in behavioral health preferred.
  • Current and valid certification in CPR/First Aid
  • Current certification or the ability to be certified as a ServSafe Food Service Manager through the National Restaurant Association.
  • Nutrition credential NDTR (Nutrition and Dietetics Technician Registered) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration highly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Must have reliable transportation to transport members
  • Valid AZ Driver's License with state minimum insurance coverage
  • TB Test clearance required at the time of hire.
