Duties & Responsibilities
  • Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
  • Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.
  • When appropriate, prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) based on the directions for use, either by hand or using packaging machines.
  • When appropriate, pull the correct pre-packed blister card and affix prescription labels.
  • Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
  • Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
  • Prepare orders for delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Skills & Abilities
  • Must possess an active MN State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
  • 1+ year minimum experience as a pharmacy tech in a retail or LTC setting.
  • Experience in FrameworkLTC/ECM software preferred, not required.
  • Can perform pharmacy calculations.
  • Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.
  • Ability to complete projects promptly.
  • Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times and traverse close quarters quickly.
  • Must be able to stand on feet for the duration of an eight (8) hour shift.
