Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in compounding, preparing and dispensing medical prescriptions to the public after receiving information from customers or patients according to written/faxed prescriptions. Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs; ensure that equipment is functioning properly and assist in resolution of equipment maintenance and repair; control inventory stock level and timeline to ensure adequate supplies. Assist with billing related functions. May assist with departmental quality assurance and other customer- or patient-focused services with oversight from supervisory staff; assists in the creation and maintenance of a safe working environment and conditions that adhere to state laws and regulations. Requires use of and proficiency in multiple computer programs. Additional duties as deemed appropriate by the Director of Retail Pharmacy.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Licensed MN Pharmacy Technician or willing to complete education within 1 year of onboarding
  • MN Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training within 1 year of onboarding

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTBC) or Exam for Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCpt)
  • Pharmacy Technician Associate Applied Science (AAS) Degree or Equivalent
  • One (1) year retail pharmacy experience
