JOB SUMMARY:
Pharmacy Support Specialists provide phone support, data entry, insurance resolution, and patient scheduling for AFS Corporate pharmacies while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and store policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, physicians, and vendors.
  • Document all calls in the pharmacy management system.
  • Perform data entry for new and refill prescriptions.
  • Process refill requests and assist with billing issues.
  • Resolve third-party rejections by gathering and correcting information.
  • Provide friendly customer service and assist pharmacists as needed.
  • Pharmacy Technician Support Specialists perform other assigned duties.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • The Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Support Specialist must have a valid Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT) in Utah.
  • Completion of required continuing education.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Completion of all necessary training programs.
