PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

LOCATION: Fort Worth, TX | Onsite


COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• $23/hour contractor pay

• Monday–Friday; shifts may be 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, or 11:00 AM–8:00 PM

• Contract position


ROLE IMPACT

Support accurate and timely pharmacy referral and prescription processing by maintaining complete patient, provider, insurance, and claim information. This role works closely with healthcare providers to resolve missing information, prescription questions, claim issues, and prior authorization needs while helping patients access prescribed medications.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review pharmacy referrals for completeness and accuracy and create patient profiles from scanned or faxed documentation.

• Verify patient, provider, and prescription information and perform initial prescription checks for accurate processing.

• Communicate with healthcare providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, and patient concerns.

• Enter pharmacy benefit information, adjudicate claims, resolve claim issues, and initiate prior authorizations or other required overrides.

• Identify available funding or copay assistance when needed and support day-to-day pharmacy operations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately enter and review patient, provider, prescription, and insurance information.

• Ability to collaborate effectively, learn new processes, and adapt to changing pharmacy workflow needs.

• Highly motivated, conscientious, and committed to delivering excellent service to the team and patients.
