FDB is hiring a Clinical Informatics Pharmacist Specialist. This will be a hybrid position located in their Carmel, Indiana office or South San Francisco, California office.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently carries out specified clinical research and consumer/patient content authoring activities, makes detailed observations, analyzes data and interprets results by applying sound clinical judgment consistent with stated editorial policies and work procedures.
  • Performs data entry tasks and verifies data entry performed by team members. Independently plans and prioritizes order of completion for work assigned in a manner consistent with policy.
  • Reviews daily data change reports.
  • Actively supports the organization's mission, vision, values and goals. Participates in activities within the organization that supports performance improvement.
  • Effectively communicates work progress verbally. Seeks guidance on issues and project details when necessary for accurate completion of assigned tasks
  • Reliably organizes and completes tasks associated with both routine tasks and special projects that are unrelated to day-to-day routine work.
  • Is able to work well with other DDS team. Works with manager to optimize and continuously improve work procedures, process flow, control plans and editorial policies.
  • Performs within established timeliness and accuracy standards at FDB.
  • Brings challenging or controversial clinical issues to the team for discussion.
  • Performs additional duties for the organization as assigned by supervisory personnel.
  • Fields assigned customer DDS module-related questions in writing. Works with manager to present analysis results to the customer either in writing, verbally or by Teams/Webex presentation.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited U.S. College of Pharmacy.
  • Actively licensed in at least one State as a pharmacist.
  • Two years recent experience in a clinical pharmacy setting with a bachelor's degree; one year experience in a clinical pharmacy setting with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or first year clinical residency.
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point). Demonstrates effective verbal and written skills. Able to prioritize multiple tasks and effectively work in a team structure. Demonstrates ability to analyze source information and come to sound, evidence-based clinical conclusions. Active participation in a job-related professional organization is preferred and is encouraged after hire.

  • Demonstrates knowledge or capability to become proficient at a basic level with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and writing capabilities; able to perform presentations to Dosing group members regarding supported content.
  • Multiple task prioritization; able to seek guidance when competing priorities are present.
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze a large repository of source information and come to sound, evidence-based conclusions.
  • Can work in a team environment, taking primary responsibility for supported content initially with direct supervision by management personnel.
  • Able to become knowledgeable regarding use of supported data in customer systems.
  • Demonstrates ability to conform to work procedures; meet applicable deadlines, accuracy and productivity standards.
  • Develops basic Flyspeed query and SQLyog file import skills for FDB data analysis.
  • Be able to demonstrate abilities acquired within Clinical Pharmacy practice settings that relate to dosing.
  • Able to demonstrate dosing knowledge.
  • Develops knowledge and demonstrates competency of Dosing module editorial policies, maintenance and applications, and OnBase (document and content processing system). Begins to cross-cover other Dosing staff during absence with supervision.
  • Occasional air travel for onsite All Staff Meeting and continued education meetings.
