Job description

Job Summary:
The Assistant Vice President of Pharmacy Data Analytics & Business Intelligence will lead the development and application of advanced analytics to support Apture's pharmacy consulting engagements. This role will focus on translating complex pharmacy, medical, and total cost of care (TCOC) data into actionable insights that drive value for pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), pharmaceutical manufacturers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
The AVP will partner closely with consulting leaders, clients, and internal Lockton partners (from the digital office, the Infolock team, and the pharmacy consulting practice) to design and deliver high-impact analytics across initiatives, including:
  • PBM performance benchmarking and RFP insights
  • Value if integration studies (e.g., medical and pharmacy alignment)
  • Total cost of care analyses for pharmaceutical manufacturers
  • Clinical and financial performance modeling

This leader will also help shape Apture's long-term data strategy, ensuring our analytics capabilities are scalable, differentiated, and directly tied to client solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead analytics workstreams across client-facing consulting engagements
• Translate complex datasets (claims, enrollment, rebates, medical+pharmacy, etc.) into clear, compelling narratives for clients and executive stakeholders
• Develop and deliver analyses supporting: Total cost of care studies, Value of integration (medical + pharmacy) assessments, Clinical and financial • performance evaluations, PBM pricing and performance benchmarking
• Partner with consulting teams to embed analytics into client deliverables, proposals, and strategic recommendations
• Develop repeatable analytics products and study methodologies that can be scaled across clients
• Provide direction to analysts and data teams supporting Apture engagements
• Partner with compliance and legal to ensure appropriate use and governance of data across engagements

Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in pharmacy data analytics (PBM, health plan, consulting, or pharma preferred)
• Deep understanding of PBM pricing economics, including discounts, rebates, administrative fees, and pass through vs. traditional pricing
• Deep understanding of pharmacy and medical data, including claims, utilization, pricing, and rebate structures
• Experience supporting client-facing analytic engagements and translating data into executive-level insights
• Strong background in analytics tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Power BI, etc.)
• Strong familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations impacting data in insurance environments
• Exceptional executive presence, communication skills, and ability to influence senior leadership
