Staff Pharmacist - Specialty Pharmacy (Temporary Assignment)

Work-life balance: Enjoy a primarily Monday-Friday schedule with limited Saturday coverage and no on-call responsibilities.
Potential for Growth: This 16-week temporary assignment has the potential to convert to a permanent full-time position based on business needs.

Pharmacy Hours and Location:
  • This pharmacy serves the local community Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Typical pharmacist schedules are 9:00 AM-5:00 PM or 11:00 AM-7:00 PM
  • Occasional Saturday coverage may be required

  • Provide exceptional and personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting services; advise and guide with empathy, confidentiality, and diligence

  • Build effective relationships with physicians, providers, and healthcare teams to support positive patient outcomes

What You'll Bring
Basic Qualifications:
  • Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
  • Successful completion of Connecticut state pharmacy board examination
  • Active Connecticut Pharmacist License in good standing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in specialty pharmacy
  • Experience counseling patients on specialty medications
  • Strong clinical communication and patient education skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • This position is moderately active and requires standing, walking, and other movement for the duration of the shift and lifting up to 25 pounds
