Job description

The Packaging Operator I supports routine packaging operations for oral solid dosage pharmaceutical products in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating packaging equipment, performing in-process checks, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with cGMP and company standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team.

This position’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: Packaging Operator – 2nd Shift (3:30 PM - 12 AM):
  • Operate assigned packaging equipment in accordance with approved SOPs, including equipment setup, monitoring, and line operation.
  • Perform start-up, shut-down, and changeover activities to support efficient packaging operations.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks to verify packaging integrity and conformance with specifications.
  • Accurately complete batch record documentation and packaging logs in accordance with cGMP and data integrity requirements.
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of packaging equipment and work areas per established procedures.
  • Report equipment issues, deviations, or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor or mechanic.

We are looking for applicants with: Packaging Operator – 2nd Shift (3:30 PM - 12 AM):
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing or packaging environment; pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor equipment adjustments.
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs, batch records, and work instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills.
