POSITION SUMMARY: Under the guidance of Pets Global, Inc.โ€™s Sr. Manager Operations & Logistics, the Warehouse/Delivery Associate is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping materials and products in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. The Warehouse/Delivery Associate is also responsible for loading/unloading and delivering Pets Global, Inc.โ€™s goods and products to customers in an accurate and timely manner, and when needed, plays a crucial role as a backup driver to support delivery operations and ensure business continuity. Management may adjust duties and responsibilities for this role as needed for reasonable accommodation or other reasons. Exercising discretion, maintaining confidentiality, and using independent judgment are essential throughout all aspects of this position.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One-year related experience or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
  • Forklift certified (preferred).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Must have a valid driverโ€™s license.
  • Skilled at driving large vehicles.
  • Able to operate electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Proficient using GPS and other routing systems.
  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse Work:

  • Picks, packs, and ships materials and products.
  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
  • Maintains cleanliness of warehouse and conducts cleanup tasks, which include but is not limited to sweeping, removing and disposing trash from all areas, gathering and emptying trash from warehouse facility into dumper/compactor.
  • Contributes ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehouse procedures.
  • Organizes shelves, bins, and inventory.
  • Inspects product for defects and damages.
  • Organizes warehouse space.
  • Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments.
  • Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish tasks including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, pallet jack, and/or elevator.
  • Receives, loads, and unloads trucks and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
  • Stacks product on pallets safely and accurately.
  • Checks and verifies invoices for So-Cal, distributor, and international orders.
  • Maintains and solicits great customer service.
  • Maintain ethical behavior towards coworkers, staff, vendors, customers, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Delivery Work:

  • Serve as a backup for Delivery Specialists.
  • Loads vehicle for delivery.
  • Performs simple vehicle maintenance; cleaning interior of vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, scheduling routine maintenance to keep vehicle running properly.
  • Check route, paperwork, and equipment (making sure to have the proper products matching the paperwork, dolly, floor jack)
  • Observes all traffic laws and posted speed limits.
  • Delivers goods to clients and stocks materials if necessary.
  • Interacts with the customer in a professional manner.
  • Collects payment and required signatures for payment, proof of delivery, and issues a receipt to customer.
  • Returns all required documentation to appropriate company official.
  • Observes no smoking rule in delivery vehicle.
  • Maintains a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
  • Must get all pertinent information if involved in an accident and inform appropriate company official.
  • Unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs, put away bins, put away pallets, and sweep out truck.
  • Fill out paperwork for damages or returns
  • Turn in gas card and keys at the end of the route.
  • Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clientsโ€™ complaints.
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Complete logs and reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
