Bastrop Veterinary Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our compassionate, collaborative, and highly skilled veterinary team in Bastrop, Texas. What You'll Do
  • Provide comprehensive wellness, prevention, and diagnostic care for companion and large animals
  • Build lasting relationships with clients through education and compassionate communication
  • Perform general soft tissue surgery and dentistry (or receive mentorship to build these skills)
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on the highest standard of patient care
  • Collaborate with an experienced team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
  • Utilize modern diagnostic equipment and evidence-based medicine to improve patient outcomes
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented hospital culture
Schedule:
4-day work weeks with one weekday (Monday-Friday) off and two Saturdays per month from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. No after hours calls required.
Qualifications
We're looking for veterinarians who have:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree
  • Current (or eligible) Texas veterinary license
  • Strong foundation in preventive medicine and wellness care
  • Experience or interest in general surgery and dentistry
  • Excellent communication and client education skills
  • Passion for compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine
  • Collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced mixed-animal practice
  • Large animal work is not required
