Job description

Salary:

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for enhancing customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and responding to needs in the most efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have prior experience within the paper distribution industry.The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.


Essential Functions Statement

  • Manage the order process from gathering specifications to assisting with claims, and every step in between.
  • Build relationships with customers by maintaining a sophisticated level of customer service and providing value added services such as consumption and inventory reporting.
  • Build relationships with suppliers by working closely with theirs sales, service and technical support personnel to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Create a strong professional relationship with assigned Sales Representative.
  • Confer with customers via telephone or email to provide quote information on products and/or service.
  • Coordinate shipment of product (including expedited and third party freight) with warehouse personnel.
  • Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers as necessary.
  • Work with Sales Representative to ensure pricing is correct and price changes are implemented.
  • Promote the sale of closeout stock items.
  • Issue appropriate documentation to process resale adjustments, order errors and pick-ups to initiate credit memos.
  • Assist sales to ensure customer dedicated inventory is shipped and billed within 90 days (or as stipulated by the agreement).
  • Assist sales and accounts receivables to ensure customer invoices are paid according to Midland's terms.
  • Review customer inventory levels to ensure on hand levels will meet customer demands and help to eliminate overstocks and backorders.
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints and comments, as well as actions taken.
  • Other duties as assigned.
