Job Summary
The Personal Shopper will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik's culture by consistently providing "best in class" service to our guests. The main responsibility of a Personal Shopper is to complete grocery orders for customers through the online grocery platform, Sendik's Express. The Personal Shopper will provide each customer with an efficient, accurate, and pleasant experience by demonstrating a high-level of product
knowledge and personalized customer service.

Work Experience
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Serve Sendik's Express customers while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
  • Review daily Sendik's Express orders via eCommerce computer system and voicemails
  • Schedule and prioritize each order; reviewing and highlighting important notes and special requests
  • Shop for each order throughout the store based on the customer's needs. Follow any special requests that may be listed
  • Maintain a detail-oriented mindset while reviewing the freshness of products for the orders
  • Follow up with customers should an item need a substitution or questions concerning the order
  • Check out each item at the register, bag the groceries following the customer's request and label each
  • bag with the customer's information
  • Keep banking information safe and confidential while completing the customer's transaction; store the receipt in an envelope and attach to the order
  • Store groceries in the proper storage areas until pick up
  • Notify customers through Sendik's Express when their order is ready via Freshop App, phone call, text or email
  • Hand-deliver the grocery order to the customer's vehicle and assist with unloading the cart
  • Confirm identification for any orders containing alcohol
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new Personal Shoppers
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Assist in other departments as needed, including, but not limited to, bagging groceries, gathering grocery carts and baskets and stocking the grocery department
