Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for personal lines clients, providing exceptional service while managing policy renewals, account changes, and claims support. This role requires strong communication skills, industry knowledge, and a commitment to building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary contact for personal lines policyholders, responding to inquiries and providing expert guidance.

Manage policy renewals by reviewing coverage, recommending appropriate updates, and processing policy changes.

Assist clients throughout the claims process, ensuring timely communication and a positive customer experience.

Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client interactions and policy information within the agency management system.

Build and nurture strong relationships with clients through proactive service and ongoing support.

Identify opportunities to cross-sell or recommend additional insurance products that enhance client protection.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient policy servicing and issue resolution.

Stay current on insurance products, coverage options, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Active Michigan Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License is required.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a Personal Lines insurance customer service or account management role.

At least 2 years of customer service experience with a proven ability to build strong client relationships.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Proficiency with insurance agency management systems and standard office software.
