Job description

Private Client Account Executive - Personal Lines

Our client is an independent insurance brokerage with a dedicated private client practice serving high-net-worth individuals and families across the Northeast. They are adding a Private Client Account Executive to their Personal Lines team.

You will own a book of private client accounts and act as the primary contact for everyone in it. That means renewals, remarketing, endorsements, claims, and the coverage conversations that come with complex personal insurance programs: multiple homes, collections, watercraft, and excess liability. You will work directly with underwriters at the carriers who specialize in this space, and you will have the room to recommend real changes when a client's picture shifts.

The role is fully remote. Because the book sits in the tri-state area, they want someone already licensed and living in Connecticut, New York, or New Jersey. You will report to the Private Client Group Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of private client accounts, including renewals, account rounding, remarketing, endorsements, policy changes, claims, and cancellations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for your clients, explain coverage options in plain terms, and follow up quickly.
  • Review renewals ahead of the date, find coverage gaps, and recommend changes as each client's needs change.
  • Build working relationships with underwriters at the carriers who write this business.
  • Resolve policy, coverage, billing, and service issues from first call through resolution.
  • Keep client records, policies, and transactions current in the agency management system.

Qualifications

  • Active Property and Casualty license in your home state. A New York license is preferred.
  • Five or more years of personal lines account management experience.
  • Direct experience supporting high-net-worth or private client accounts. This one is required.
  • Experience with the carriers who write private client business, such as Chubb, PURE, Cincinnati, and Berkley One.
  • Working knowledge of excess and surplus lines, builders risk, flood, and marine coverage is a plus.
  • Comfort with agency management systems and the standard office software suite.

Why apply for this position?

  • Fully remote, with a book that keeps you in the tri-state market you already know.
  • Base salary of $80,000 to $100,000.
  • Private client work is the interesting end of personal lines. Complex programs, sophisticated clients, and coverage conversations that actually matter.
  • Small team with a direct line to the Private Client Group Manager. Your recommendations get heard.
  • A generous benefits package and a firm with a real reputation for work-life balance.

Equal Opportunity Statement

Our client is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at all levels of the organization. All employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
