As a Personal Finance Advisor at Caisse Desjardins Ontario, you're responsible for developing and maintaining a lasting, trust-based business relationship with members and clients to ensure their satisfaction.๐ŸคYour role is to listen to the needs of members and clients, offer advice tailored to their financial situation, and help them choose appropriate solutions to help them achieve their financial goals. You drive results by preparing offers, and recommending investments, loans and insurance.๐ŸŽฏMore specifically, you will be required to :

  • Advise members and clients on the best strategies and determine target outcomes.
  • Manage business relationships, assess satisfaction and service quality, follow up on these relationships and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay on top of financial services industry news, market trends and best practices in your field.
  • Participate in outreach activities and be present in the community.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Mutual fund representative certificate - Autorite des marches financiers
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and/or clients.
  • Knowledge of the latest financial, economic, policy and legislative developments
  • Knowledge of products and services for caisse members, products and services offered by Desjardins Business centres, components and distribution networks, and products and services offered by competitors
  • Knowledge of debt management practices
  • Knowledge of legislative compliance requirements for the distribution of financial products and services
  • Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives
  • Knowledge of policies, legislation and standards governing products and services offered by Desjardins Ontario Credit Union
  • Knowledge of techniques used to assess and monitor individual financing applications.
