Private residence is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful House Manager / Project Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a busy household. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position with genuine professional development and room to grow. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, extremely organized, solutions-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently while working closely with the Principals, vendors, and contractors. This is a hybrid position based on the Peninsula.

What You’ll Do

•        Source, vet, and manage vendors and contractors for home maintenance, repairs, and other household needs.

•        Coordinate preventative maintenance and ensure projects and repairs are completed on schedule.

•        Maintain organized digital records, household files, and documentation.

•        Handle local errands and other personal or household tasks as needed.

•        Manage project timelines, contractor accountability, accounts payable, and the construction budget.

•        Oversee procurement of interior items for the construction project in collaboration with the Design Principal.

•        Maintain momentum across a multi-year construction project while balancing the daily needs and interruptions of a busy household.

•        Assist with home organization projects, including closets, storage, and other areas of the home.

•        Take ownership of ad hoc personal, household, and organizational projects as needed.

•        Coordinate personal events ranging from intimate gatherings to larger parties.

•        Monitor email and remain responsive to urgent household matters outside of standard hours when necessary; regular weekend and after-hours work is not expected.

What We’re Looking For

•        2–10 years of experience in a high-end private residence as a Personal Assistant, House Manager, Project Manager, or similar role.

•        Experience managing vendors, contractors, household projects, and/or construction projects.

•        Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and competing deadlines.

•        Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail across both physical spaces and digital records.

•        Tech-savvy with experience using Google Docs, Notion, Savant, Adobe Illustrator, SketchUp, or similar platforms.

•        Demonstrated ability to learn new software, systems, and processes quickly and independently.

•        Proven ability to create and improve systems and processes.

•        Strong judgment, discretion, reliability, and professionalism.

•        Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills when working with vendors and contractors.

•        Solutions-oriented and comfortable rolling up your sleeves and wearing many hats.

•        Adaptable, calm under pressure, and able to independently prioritize competing needs.

•        Strong eye for design and aesthetics with excellent attention to detail.
