Position Description:

We are looking for a Natural Gas Professional Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and six or more years of similar work experience. Professional Engineer License is required. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment. 
 
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Develop and complete applications, permits, engineering reports, and specifications
  • Prepare and review engineer estimates
  • Conduct research and development for projects 
  • Prepare design cost estimates, project status, and other reports
  • Monitor task budget and progress
  • Communicate project details with other design engineers
  • Lead a team of designers/engineers 
  • Conduct project cost reviews
  • Promote sales
  • Review scope, budget, and schedule for project tasks
  • Assist with proposals, marketing, project reports, and technical presentations
  • Conduct on-site meetings as needed
  • Attend and/or conduct client and project meetings
  • Attend various meetings including pre-design, pre-construction, professional organization, staff, etc. 
  • Attend seminars and/or training classes
  • Maintain excellent client relations and communication
  • Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required
Skills/Experience:
  • Professional Engineer License required
  • 6+ yrs experience required
  • Design review & QA/QC experience is required
  • Utility design experience, natural gas is preferred
