Communicating effectively with applicants, government agencies, and internal teams is also essential to ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date. Adapting to changes in regulations and handling time-sensitive requests are common challenges, but strong organizational skills and proactive follow-up can help manage workloads successfully.

What is a permit assistant?

Permit Assistants are administrative professionals who help manage and process permit applications for construction, zoning, environmental, or other regulated activities. Their role is essential to keeping permitting workflows organized, efficient, and compliant with local laws.
