Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. In this role, you will provide high-quality post-operative nursing care, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and stability during recovery from anesthesia. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes through clinical expertise, critical thinking, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
  • Address the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and their families.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient status and treatment responses.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to established clinical standards and protocols.
  • Report to the Director of Surgery.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
