Unlike contract or freelance developers, permanent developers are full-time employees who work exclusively for an insurance company or a software firm serving insurance clients. Their work may involve developing policy management systems, claims processing platforms, or customer portals, ensuring these systems are secure, efficient, and compliant with industry regulations. They collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other developers to deliver reliable technology that supports insurance operations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Permanent Insurance Software Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Permanent Insurance Software Developer, you need strong programming skills (such as Java, C#, or Python), knowledge of insurance industry processes, and a relevant degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with insurance software platforms, database management systems, and certifications like ACORD or experience with policy administration systems are typically required.
