Bright & Unique Career Path
Are you a mechanically skilled technician looking to get out of the dealership grind and leverage your skills in a reputable, family corporate environment with many more benefits and perks? If you're the type who enjoys working with your hands, takes pride in precision, and wants to be part of a team that gets things done and has a good time doing it, we invite you to explore something different.
We're a family-owned company that's been around since the early 1900s, and we develop and test additives that improve engine and transmission performance for the Automotive industry. Our automotive division is critical to how we innovate and test our products. You'll work in a climate-controlled facility without the stress of customers or sales targets-just hands-on work, great people, and a strong sense of purpose.
This is a night shift position (11PM-11AM) for an initial period of 6-8 months, with a 4-day/48-hour workweek (8 hours of guaranteed OT per week). No tools needed-we provide them. After the initial "Casual Employee" period, you will have the opportunity to switch to our 11AM-11PM schedule and become a permanent employee and receive many additional benefits.
Why This Role is Different
  • You will start in our petroleum additive testing facility, operating engines, transmissions, and drivetrains on dynamometers.
  • You'll monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot test systems to meet strict performance standards.
  • You will be trained for a period of 2-4 weeks to perform these tasks.
  • After that, you'll rotate to our vehicle repair facility, where you'll be involved with engine teardowns and continue to grow and contribute.
  • We provide extensive on-the-job training-12 weeks total, including 2-4 weeks at the beginning and you will be given all the right tools and support needed.

If you're ready to build your career in a company that values long-term relationships, hands-on precision, and employee well-being, we'd love to meet you.
Amazing Benefits for Permanent Automotive Mechanics
  • Full health, dental & vision-much better than dealership plans
  • 401(k) match
  • Pension plan after 5 years-one of only two companies in VA that still offers this
  • 3 weeks of vacation starting on day 1 of becoming a permanent employee
  • Paid holidays
  • On-site medical clinic with doctors and nurses-no cost to you
  • On-site gym
  • AC cooled facility
  • A place you will be proud to work at and call home!

Note: Health benefits begin even while you're a "casual employee"
Qualifications of Corporate Automotive Mechanic
  • 2-5 years of experience as an Automotive technician
  • Positive, team-first attitude-respectful and courteous by nature
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a corporate testing environment
  • Ability to work night shifts temporarily (up to 8 months; shifts assigned by seniority)

No dealership politics. No customer complaints. Just great work with great people in a place you can be proud of.
