10+ years in Banking Payments with 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing Finastra Global PAYplus (GPP) in enterprise banking environments.


Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Onsite Finastra GPP SME to lead end-to-end implementation activities at customer sites, including product installation, deployment, configuration, integration, Disaster Recovery (DR), production cutover, and post-go-live support. The SME will work closely with customer infrastructure, application, and business teams to ensure successful delivery of payment hub solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

·       Lead Finastra GPP installation, deployment, configuration, development and upgrades across Dev, SIT, UAT, DR, and Production environments.

·       Configure application, middleware, database, security, and payment processing components.

·       Design and implement integrations with upstream/downstream systems using REST/SOAP APIs, IBM MQ/JMS, Kafka, SFTP, and ISO 20022 messaging.

·       Coordinate with infrastructure teams for Linux, Oracle Database, middleware, networking, load balancers, SSL, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR).

·       Work with various cross functional teams and provide the needed test support.

·       Execute production deployments, cutover activities, DR testing, failover/failback, performance tuning, and environment validation.

·       Troubleshoot production issues, provide L3 support, perform root cause analysis, and mentor customer technical teams.

Primary Skills (Mandatory)

·       Strong hands-on experience with Finastra Global PAYplus (GPP) installation, deployment, configuration, upgrades, and production support.

·       Expertise in payment hubs, ISO 20022, SWIFT, RTGS, ACH, Instant Payments, and cross-border payment processing.

·       Knowledge of payment schemes such as CHAPS, BACS, SEPA, Fedwire, CHIPS, RTP, and FedNow.

·       Hands-on experience with IBM MQ, JMS, REST/SOAP APIs, Kafka, XML/JSON, Oracle Database, SQL/PLSQL, and Linux/Unix.

·       Experience with middleware (WebLogic/JBoss/WebSphere), SSL/TLS, PKI, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR).

·       Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and customer-facing implementation experience.

Secondary Skills (Preferred)

·       Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/OpenShift/Kubernetes).

·       DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible).

·       Monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana).

·       Experience preparing deployment documentation, runbooks, and technical design documents
