Job Title: Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Onsite/Hybrid)

Department: Infrastructure Engineering

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on technical execution and delivery, with some input into database design and architecture.

This is not a team lead or managerial role - we're looking for a skilled technician who thrives on solving complex database challenges in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day Oracle Database administration, including installations, configurations, upgrades, backups, recovery, and patching.
  • Support Oracle Fusion, OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud), and OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud) environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve database-related issues quickly and effectively.
  • Participate in performance tuning and optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to support database design and implementation.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of Oracle database systems.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 7+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on expertise in Oracle DB administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, OCI, OAC, and OIC.
  • Ability to contribute to design discussions, with a focus on execution and delivery.
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite.
