Elite Executive Solutions is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Commissioning Manager to support large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects in the Phoenix, Arizona market.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a commissioning professional who understands the testing, startup, validation, and turnover of complex mechanical, electrical, controls, and mission-critical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate can coordinate commissioning activities across multiple disciplines while working closely with construction teams, trade partners, engineers, vendors, owners, and commissioning authorities to deliver fully functional and reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate commissioning activities for mission-critical MEP systems from construction completion through final turnover.
  • Develop, manage, and execute commissioning plans, schedules, procedures, and documentation.
  • Coordinate equipment startup, functional testing, integrated systems testing, and performance verification.
  • Work closely with mechanical, electrical, controls, TAB, fire protection, and other technical teams.
  • Track commissioning milestones and ensure activities remain aligned with the overall project schedule.
  • Coordinate with contractors, equipment vendors, engineers, commissioning agents, and owner representatives.
  • Identify system deficiencies and manage issue resolution through final acceptance.
  • Review submittals, sequences of operation, control documentation, testing procedures, and commissioning requirements.
  • Manage punch lists, deficiency logs, testing documentation, and turnover packages.
  • Participate in factory testing, equipment startup, functional performance testing, and integrated systems testing as required.
  • Ensure commissioning activities comply with project requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.
  • Provide regular reporting regarding commissioning progress, outstanding issues, risks, and completion status.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of commissioning, MEP construction, engineering, controls, startup, or related technical experience.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls, and critical infrastructure systems.
  • Data center or mission-critical commissioning experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with equipment startup, functional performance testing, integrated systems testing, and system turnover.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, sequences of operation, commissioning plans, and technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning processes and documentation.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with construction teams, engineers, vendors, owners, and commissioning authorities.
  • Travel flexibility preferred based on project requirements.
