Our challenge

We are seeking an experiencedPerformance Test Leadto drive performance engineering and testing initiatives across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in performance testing strategy, workload modeling, test execution, bottleneck analysis, and performance optimization for web, API, cloud, and distributed systems.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is$100k - $105k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end performance testing activities for enterprise applications.
  • Define performance test strategy, workload models, and test plans.
  • Design, develop, and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
  • Analyze performance metrics and identify application, database, and infrastructure bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with development, architecture, DevOps, and business teams to resolve performance issues.
  • Prepare performance reports and provide optimization recommendations.
  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and support performance engineering best practices.
  • Mentor junior performance testers and coordinate testing activities across teams.

Requirements:

  • QA/Performance Testing experience with experience in a lead role.
  • Strong experience with performance testing tools such asLoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, or Gatling.
  • Experience testingWeb Applications, APIs, Microservices, and Cloud-based solutions.
  • Strong knowledge ofHTTP, REST APIs, SQL, Java/.NET architectures, and distributed systems.
  • Experience monitoring applications usingDynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic.
  • Strong skills in performance analysis, capacity planning, and root cause identification.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such asJenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience withAWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)environments.
  • Knowledge of container platforms such asDocker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in performance engineering, site reliability, and application tuning.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications in performance testing, cloud, or quality engineering.
