Position Summary...Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.What you'll do...Performs inspections preventative maintenance and repairs following company guidelines under the direct supervision of a qualified shop technician on some Walmart equipment for example trailers by creating and processing work orders assessing maintenance and repair needs identifying needed parts and possible solutions selecting the best possible solution conducting maintenance and repairs for example dismountinginstalling tires on wheels repairing flats balancing tires adjusting landing gear replacing lights trailer door repairs following company and Department of Transportation DOT guidelines and requirements seeking approval for maintenance and repairs performed by qualified shop technicians communicating with individuals or groups for example customers suppliers associates verbally and in writing and completing work orders records logs and other written or computerbased documents according to established procedures
Receive fuel drops and conducts fuel sampling by monitoring the drop to ensure safety compliance following procedures for fuel additives monitoring tank levels before and after the drop collecting and preparing fuel samples for analysis and shipping and completing appropriate paperwork

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.35 - $34.85* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
