JOB SUMMARY:

The Reporting Analyst (RA) designs, develops, and tests database queries and analyzes reports. The RA creates extensive reports, visualizes data, and provides insights and recommendations in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner. Provides subject matter expertise on all relevant data sources and reporting content. Develops systems, as needed, for data capture and tracking.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Designs, develops, tests, documents, and maintains database queries and reports.

Develops system reporting processes and procedures to ensure timely delivery of daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports to management.

Recommends and implements new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information.

Automates data extraction, transfer, and data mining from various systems and sources.

Transfers data into meaningful, professional, and easy to understand formats and visualizes data for diverse audiences.

Transforms data into a comprehensive understanding of customer behaviors and feedback for service improvement opportunities.

Manages reporting and analysis elements on all business initiative projects.

Troubleshoots barriers to obtain meaningful reporting and coordinates resolutions to obtain relevant data to measure performance of key initiatives.

Analyzes operational data, builds models, and surfaces actionable insights to drive key decisions for Operations Leadership.

Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement with key stakeholders and drives initiatives to leverage data and analytics for the company.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Knowledge of effective project management techniques and practices to include planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.

Advanced MS Excel skills, to include pivot tables, pivot charts, power query, macros, and VBA.

Excellent analytical capabilities such as data mining, and reporting skills, with strong attention to accuracy and detail.

Self-starter with a proven ability to take ownership of job responsibilities and ensure successful completion of all projects and requests

Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management, including executive and senior management teams.

Ability to effectively prioritize, adjust and multi-task in high volume workload situations.

Ability to learn new systems quickly and thrives in a data rich environment.

Is agile and demonstrates a genuine excitement to solve complex problems that impact mission success.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in Business Administration, Data Management/Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.

Experience interpreting data and making recommendations to senior management.

Experience with Python and/or R; deep experience with excel.

Experience creating operational dashboards in Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI.

Experience with SQL a plus.

Experience with SharePoint a plus.

Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with good driving record.

Physical requirements include lifting to 10 pounds occasionally. Subject to standing, sitting, bending, and walking to perform job scope. Requires visual acuity, speech, and hearing. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment. Occasional driving and travel required. Flexible hours may be required.
