These radiators are designed to offer improved cooling efficiency, durability, and heat dissipation compared to standard radiators. Employees in this role may work in customer service, sales, technical support, or hands-on installation and maintenance. The job can be found in automotive shops, manufacturing facilities, or specialty performance parts companies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Performance Radiator Technician, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Performance Radiator Technician, you need a solid understanding of automotive cooling systems, mechanical repair skills, and often a relevant vocational certification or experience in automotive technology. Familiarity with diagnostic tools, welding equipment, and computerized systems for testing and servicing radiators is typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong customer service skills help you excel in this role. What is a Performance Radiator?

A performance radiator is an upgraded component for a vehicle's cooling system, designed to provide better heat dissipation and cooling efficiency than standard radiators. These radiators are often made from high-quality materials like aluminum and feature larger cores or additional cooling rows. They are commonly used in high-performance or modified vehicles to prevent overheating during intense driving conditions, such as racing or towing. Installing a performance radiator can help maintain optimal engine temperatures, improving reliability and overall performance.

What are some common challenges faced by a Performance Radiator Technician, and how can they be overcome?

Performance Radiator Technicians often encounter challenges such as diagnosing complex cooling system issues, ensuring compatibility of aftermarket parts, and maintaining high standards of safety in high-performance vehicles. Job description

About Us
The Radiator Store is a fast-growing auto parts distributor in Northern New Jersey. We supply automotive cooling, electrical, and exhaust parts to mechanics, body shops, dealerships, and everyday customers. It’s a high-volume, fast-moving environment where accuracy and responsiveness matter.

About the Role
This is a busy call center position. You’ll spend your day on the phone—typically 80–120 inbound calls—helping customers with pricing, availability, and delivery timing. Many of our customers rely on us to keep their businesses running, so speed and accuracy aren’t optional.

You’ll make outbound calls to follow up on quotes, help turn inquiries into orders, and build relationships with repeat wholesale customers. Some conversations are quick and easy; others require patience, problem-solving, and a calm approach under pressure.

If you don’t like being on the phone most of the day or juggling multiple tasks at once, this is not the position for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls (80–120 daily)
  • Provide clear, accurate info on pricing, inventory, and delivery
  • Support wholesale accounts and build repeat customer relationships
  • Make outbound follow-ups on quotes and open orders
  • Enter orders and customer data quickly and accurately
  • Communicate customer issues and feedback to the team

What This Job Is (and Isn’t)

  • Is: Fast-paced and performance-driven
  • Is: Repetitive at times, especially with common questions
  • Isn’t: A low-volume or slow-paced customer service role
  • Isn’t: Just “answering phones”—you’re expected to think, solve, and follow through

What We’re Looking For

  • Prior call center and/or customer service or sales experience (required)
  • 100% reliable attendance and dedication—this role depends on showing up every day and being on time
  • Strong communication skills—you can be clear, direct, and helpful
  • Fast and accurate data entry/computer skills
  • Ability to multitask without losing attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn quickly
  • Knowledge of cars, auto parts, and the automotive industry experience
  • Willingness to be flexible with schedule and support, includes rotating Saturdays

What You Get

  • Immediate hands-on training—we’ll teach you the products and systems
  • A steady, high-energy work environment where your effort shows
  • Hourly pay plus bonus incentives (spiffs)
  • Opportunity to grow into a leadership role (as applicable)

The Bottom Line
This is a solid opportunity if you want to learn the auto parts distribution business from the ground up and aren’t afraid of a high-volume workload. If you’re reliable, quick on your feet, and willing to put in the effort, you’ll have room to grow here.

If this sounds like you, apply today.
