The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new patient volume through strategic referral development, with a primary focus on expanding infusion services. This field-based role will actively build and manage relationships with both Duly and non-Duly providers, with an emphasis on external referral growth.

This individual will execute a targeted sales strategy, leveraging data and market insights to identify opportunities, influence referral behavior, and grow Duly's presence across key service lines. While initially focused on infusion, this role will expand to support growth across additional ancillary services.

Referral Growth Strategy & Execution

  • Own and execute a territory-based referral growth strategy, with clear accountability for increasing patient volume from both internal and external providers
  • Prioritize and target non-Duly physicians, specialty groups, and community providers to expand external referral channels
  • Build and actively manage a referral pipeline, tracking outreach, conversion, and ongoing engagement

Provider Relationship Development

  • Conduct regular in-person visits to physician offices, care teams, and referral coordinators to promote Duly's infusion services and future ancillary offerings
  • Establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers, including physicians, office managers, and clinical staff
  • Deliver a compelling, differentiated value proposition tailored to each practice's needs

Data-Driven Growth

  • Utilize referral data, market trends, and utilization patterns to identify high-value targets and growth opportunities
  • Monitor referral patterns and adjust outreach strategies to maximize impact and ROI
  • Develop territory plans and partner-specific growth strategies based on data insights

Customer Experience & Retention

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for referral partners, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience
  • Proactively identify and resolve barriers to referral (access, scheduling, communication, etc.)
  • Maintain high provider satisfaction and retention through consistent follow-up and service recovery

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with operations, clinical teams, marketing, and access teams to align on growth priorities and ensure readiness to support increased volume
  • Provide field insights to inform service line expansion, capacity planning, and go-to-market strategies

Performance Management

  • Achieve defined KPIs, including referral growth, new provider acquisition, visit cadence, and pipeline conversion metrics
  • Maintain accurate documentation of activities and outcomes in CRM or tracking tools

Compliance

  • Ensure all activities comply with Duly policies, HIPAA requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare sales, physician outreach, or business development with a strong emphasis on referral growth
  • Proven track record of driving measurable volume growth and building external provider relationships
  • Experience in infusion services, specialty care, or ancillary service lines strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of the Chicago healthcare market, including independent providers and referral dynamics

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $92-138,000/yr, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
