Job description

Job Title: Director of Perf Improvement
Location: Main Hospital - New Brunswick
Department Name: Quality Resource Services

Pay Range: $120,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
The Director of Performance Improvement is responsible for developing, implementing and managing performance improvement strategies and data analytics programs that enhance clinical and operational performance. The position fosters a culture of continuous improvement, ensures compliance with quality standards and methodologies and leverages data to inform decision-making.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Masters degree in nursing, healthcare or business administration or related field required
  • Acute care administrative, quality and/or patient safety experience in a hospital setting required
  • 5-8 years of progressive leadership experience with expertise in performance improvement and data management and analytics
  • A track record in a multi-hospital system, urban, teaching environment
  • Experience with Tableau, EIPC reporting, Microsoft suite

Essential Functions:
  • Administrative responsibility for all data analysts and project managers across RWJUH departments and service lines
  • Champions use of data and analytic tools across organization to drive data-informed decision-making
  • Ensures data accuracy and reliability
  • Optimizes use of clinical databases to reduce manual abstraction and mining
  • Creates actionable insights - transforming data into information
  • Develops and leads high-performing teams to drive performance improvement initiatives
  • Develops and implements project management team to support prioritized projects from initiation to completion
