Performance Driver information

What is a performance driver?

Performance drivers, also known as professional race car drivers or stunt drivers, are individuals who operate vehicles at high speeds or in demanding conditions for competitive racing, testing, or entertainment purposes. Their main role is to push vehicles to their limits, often in motorsport events, automotive testing, or for film and television productions. They require advanced driving skills, quick reflexes, and a deep understanding of vehicle mechanics and dynamics. Performance drivers often work with teams to optimize vehicle performance and ensure safety during high-speed maneuvers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a performance driver?

To thrive as a Performance Driver, you need advanced driving skills, in-depth knowledge of vehicle dynamics, and often a valid professional racing or high-performance driving license. Familiarity with telemetry systems, data analysis tools, and industry-standard safety equipment is crucial. Exceptional focus, quick decision-making, and strong communication skills help drivers adapt to rapidly changing conditions and work effectively with teams. These abilities are essential for achieving peak vehicle performance, ensuring safety, and succeeding in competitive or testing environments.

What are some common challenges faced by performance drivers, and how can they be overcome?

Performance Drivers often face challenges such as adapting to different vehicles, managing high-pressure situations during competitions or testing, and maintaining peak physical and mental condition. To overcome these challenges, drivers typically undergo rigorous training to familiarize themselves with various car dynamics, work closely with technical teams to fine-tune vehicle performance, and follow strict fitness and nutrition regimens. Effective communication with engineers and consistent practice are key to success in this dynamic and demanding role.

Ready to take your career global?
As a Business Performance Reporting Analyst within a results-oriented team, you will play a key role in the design, development, and evolution of scalable reporting and analytics across multiple business segments.
This role goes beyond dashboard creation-you will transform data into actionable insights by identifying trends, uncovering performance drivers, and proactively guiding business decisions.
You will leverage modern analytics tools such as Looker, Big Query, and AI-driven platforms like ThoughtSpot to enable both structured reporting and self-service, conversational analytics across the organization.
You will partner cross-functionally across the full customer lifecycle (Marketing, Risk & Underwriting, Sales, Implementations, Customer Success, Product, and Operations), delivering trusted, executive-ready KPI reporting while driving deeper analytical exploration-particularly within Payment's performance and lifecycle metrics.
You'll be part of a team modernizing analytics through cloud data, real-time dashboards, and emerging AI capabilities.
What you'll own:
  • Partner with business leaders to define key performance drivers, metrics, and reporting requirements

  • Design and develop scalable dashboards using Looker, leveraging governed data models

  • Write and optimize complex queries in BigQuery to source, transform, and validate data

  • Own the full lifecycle of reporting: requirements gathering, data validation, dashboard design, and deployment

  • Move beyond reporting to analyze trends, identify anomalies, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders

  • Enable and support self-service and AI-driven analytics using tools like ThoughtSpot to empower business users

  • Partner with stakeholders to evolve reporting from static dashboards to interactive, insight-driven experiences

  • Perform deep-dive analyses on Payments, lifecycle, and operational performance

  • Collaborate with data teams to ensure alignment on data models, definitions, and source-of-truth metrics

  • Maintain clear documentation for metrics, data definitions, and reporting processes

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and data quality

What you'll bring:
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis (ideally in SaaS, Fintech, or Payments)

  • Strong experience building dashboards in Looker (preferred) or similar BI tools

  • Hands-on experience querying large datasets in BigQuery (or similar cloud data warehouses)

  • Advanced SQL skills with ability to transform and analyze complex datasets

  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into clear insights and business recommendations (not just reports)

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and curiosity to explore underlying drivers

  • Experience working with large-scale transactional or payments-related datasets is a strong plus

  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments

It's a bonus if you have the following:
  • Direct experience with Payments, ISV, or Payment Facilitation (PayFac) models

  • Familiarity with customer lifecycle metrics (conversion, retention, monetization)

  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or other GTM systems

  • Exposure to experimentation, cohort analysis, or revenue analytics
