Job description

Now, we’re looking for a dedicated and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our team and help us deliver excellence to our customers!

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily warehouse and delivery operations, including staffing, scheduling, and task delegation.
  • Supervise delivery drivers to ensure timely and efficient customer deliveries, addressing any issues or delays.
  • Provide input to the Branch/Store Manager on employee performance, development opportunities, and staffing needs.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new warehouse and delivery employees to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Branch/Store Manager regarding disciplinary actions and terminations when necessary.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensures efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
  • Coordinate warehouse operations to support accurate and timely order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Supervise delivery schedules and routes to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in good condition.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and delivery, to ensure efficient workflows and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and review management reports related to warehouse and delivery productivity, safety, and other KPIs.
  • Identify areas for operational improvements and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage routine maintenance of warehouse equipment, delivery vehicles, and building infrastructure as needed.
  • Participate in branch meetings to discuss operational updates, challenges, and improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees, vendors, and branch leadership.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, safety procedures, delivery processes, and inventory management practices.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and resolve issues efficiently. • Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in logistics, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations; supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Capability to navigate and access all areas of the warehouse and delivery vehicles.
  • Ability to work in varying environments, including exposure to heat, cold, and noise as typical in warehouse and delivery settings.
