Per diem positions offer flexibility in scheduling and can be ideal for clinicians seeking work-life balance or supplemental income. The role requires the same credentials and clinical skills as full-time positions, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.

How does scheduling and case assignment typically work for per diem speech language pathologists?

Per Diem Speech Language Pathologists often have flexible schedules, with assignments based on the facility's needs and your availability. You may be called in to cover staff absences, address patient surges, or assist with evaluations and treatments. Team communication is essential, as you'll frequently collaborate with other therapists, nurses, and physicians to ensure coordinated patient care.
