Job description

Per Diem Neonatologists - Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH

We are seeking per diem Neonatologists to join our team at Miami Valley Hospital, a region‑well established Level‑IIIB neonatal intensive care unit. The highly respected community‑based practice includes 6 Neonatologists and 8 neonatal nurse practitioners. Miami Valley Hospital is the only facility in Dayton offering ECMO since 1986 and collaborates with Dayton Children’s Hospital. This is a great opportunity to join an established, cohesive group serving a pediatric population of 1.4 million across a 17‑county referral area for perinatal cases.

Responsibilities
  • Coverage of a 60‑bed Level‑IIIB NICU
  • Average daily census: 42 patients
  • Approximately 4,000 deliveries and 950 NICU admissions annually
  • Readily available subspecialty support
  • Flexible schedule for work/life balance
  • Call from home or in‑house call room available for local or remote living opportunities
  • Affiliated with Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine—with residents and medical students
Qualifications
  • Board Certified Neonatologist
  • Minimum of 1 year post‑fellowship clinical experience
  • OH active license or ability to apply
  • Ongoing per diem availability (preferred)

Pediatrix covers travel expenses (round‑trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for clinicians residing outside a commutable distance from the practice.
