Job description

Provide critical pharmacy support as an Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist in a behavioral health setting. This per diem role offers the opportunity to contribute your clinical expertise in a 60-bed licensed facility with an average daily census of 15–30 patients.

Location: Turbeville, SC
Schedule:

  • Training: Week of September 21st (1 day required)
  • Coverage: September 26th – October 15th
  • Monday–Friday: 8am–4pm plus on-call after each shift
  • September 26–27: On-call only
  • Weekends: On-call remote coverage, including order verification and answering questions as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders accurately and promptly
  • Refill Omnicell automated dispensing units
  • Place medication orders with Cardinal suppliers
  • Provide on-call remote support on weekends, including order verification and clinical consultation

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
  • Active, clear pharmacist license to practice in South Carolina
  • Experience with Wellsky Order Entry System or willingness to undergo training
  • Familiarity with Omnicell automation preferred but not required; training provided
  • Ability to work independently in a setting without other on-site pharmacy staff
  • Background in inpatient behavioral health pharmacy helpful
