Job description

Power Plant Operator Plant Operations The Power Plant Operator will: Operate high pressure boilers and a variety of power plant equipment such as CHP, generators, fuel systems and air compressors Perform preventative maintenance, maintaining all operating logs, assisting during emergencies such as snow, fire, flood, and power loss Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations. Must possess a comprehensive understanding of power plant equipment and operations, normally required with 3-5 years of on-the-job experience.

Must possess a current NJ Blue Seal Stationary Engineer's license. Environment exposes operator to varying temperature conditions and high noise levels. Environment exposes operator to electrical, mechanical and temperature hazards.

Valid and in good standing driver's license issued by the state of New Jersey preferred due to the possibility of driving a facility vehicle to our various locations. We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
