These engineers are often hired for specific projects, emergency staffing needs, or short-term assignments. They are usually compensated with a daily rate (per diem) rather than a traditional salary. This role is common in industries such as construction, aerospace, and manufacturing, where project demands fluctuate.

What are the typical work schedules and expectations for a per diem engineer?

Per Diem Engineers are usually employed on an as-needed basis, which means shifts or assignments can vary depending on project demands and company requirements.
