Per Diem Clinic Based Rbt information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Per Diem Clinic Based RBT, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Per Diem Clinic Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you need a solid understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles, a high school diploma (minimum), and valid RBT certification. Familiarity with ABA data collection software, electronic health records, and clinic-specific systems is typically required. Strong communication, patience, and adaptability are essential soft skills for building rapport with clients and collaborating with clinical teams. These skills and qualifications ensure effective therapy delivery, accurate data tracking, and positive client outcomes in a flexible, clinic-based environment.

What is a Per Diem Clinic Based RBT?

A Per Diem Clinic Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a certified paraprofessional who provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients, usually children with autism spectrum disorder, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). 'Per diem' means they work on an as-needed basis rather than a fixed schedule. In a clinic-based setting, RBTs deliver ABA interventions at a healthcare or therapy center, helping clients develop skills and reduce problematic behaviors. Their flexible schedules allow clinics to meet fluctuating patient needs while maintaining high standards of care.

How does a Per Diem Clinic Based RBT typically coordinate with other members of the clinical team?

As a Per Diem Clinic Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will often collaborate closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), other RBTs, and clinic administrative staff. Communication is key, as you may need to update BCBAs on session progress, share observations, and receive new treatment protocols. Flexibility is important, given the per diem nature of the role—your schedule and team interactions may vary week to week. Building strong working relationships ensures consistency in client care and supports professional growth within the clinic environment.

Job description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Full-Time & Part-Time | In-Clinic Services | Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm & Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
RBT certification preferred but not required.
Willow ABA Services is currently seeking qualified individuals to work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and provide clinic-based ABA services for families with children on the autism spectrum. This is a fulfilling position where you can create meaningful change in the lives of children and their families!
Willow RBTs help individuals between the ages of 2-21 years with autism meet individual goals that promote independence. Client goals and programs are designed and supervised by Board-Certified Behavior Analysts and RBTs implement the plans directly with each client. RBTs are provided with extensive initial and ongoing training throughout their career with Willow!
Why join the Willow ABA team?
At Willow ABA, we want our employees to know they are secure, significant, and accepted. As a Willow employee, you will be supported throughout your transition onto the team, and we will meet you where you are. We recognize that not all people learn the same way, so much of your training will be individualized to ensure you fully understand all of the expectations of your role prior to being expected to be independent.
Just like we teach our clients to accept differences, we also encourage our staff to embrace theirs. Your differences are not only welcomed, but they are needed. We don't want this to be just a 9-5 job for you. We want you to continue to grow, learn, and find your passion. When you become a part of the Willow family, you will be cross trained to capitalize on your individual skills and interests.
How we invest in our staff:
We invest in our one-to-one direct staff (RBTs, or Registered Behavior Technicians) by providing them with a 40-hour training prior to taking their test for RBT credentialing. We also provide our RBTs with extensive 1:1 training on individual students as well as a list of competencies to pass prior to being approved to work with each client independently. Similarly, we provide ongoing and consistent supervision in which our BCBAs provide feedback and training on treatment protocols and individualized programming. Per the BACB's recommendation, we evaluate the level of need for BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analysis) oversight for each client, and we stick to our clinical recommendations to ensure programming is implemented to fidelity, meaning the hours our clients receive services are as efficient as possible. Our goal is to help children reach their fullest potential and we know that means our employees must be able reach for theirs as well.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct implementation of BCBA programming using trained ABA skills.
  • Collecting & recording data during sessions, graphing client progress.
  • Receiving direct supervision under a BCBA.
  • Abiding by HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participating in all-staff trainings.
  • Demonstrating client programming for parents.

What we are seeking:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree graduates (preferred)
  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Non-RBTs (BTs)
  • Flexible full-time or part-time hours (Minimum of 20 hours per week)
  • Motivated and enthusiastic personalities
  • Physical expectations potentially include running, squatting, and lifting

Benefits:
  • Medical/Dental/Vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Parental leave
  • 401(k) matching
  • Performance Incentives
  • Health savings account
  • Discounts on Education with partnered Universities

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: 8000 S. Lincoln St. STE. 10 Littleton, CO 80122
Pay: $20-$28 per hour
