Job description

We're hiring our first dedicated People Operations role to own how it feels to join and work at Triomics. This is a build role, not a maintenance seat. You will own onboarding, equipment, benefits, the office, and support the recruiting machine that keeps the team growing.
You are the person who makes the company run day to day. New hires get a laptop, accounts, and a real first week because you built the system
The best person for this role is someone who have been an EA or office manager at a Series A or B startup, is comfortable with technology and light IT, and likes building systems from nothing. You move fast, you are AI-native in how you work, and you have a high bar for how every interaction lands with a new hire or a candidate.
What You'll Do:
Own full-cycle recruiting for priority roles
  • Onboarding. Build and run the first-week experience. Accounts, equipment, paperwork, intros, so every new hire is set up and productive on day one.
  • Equipment and light IT. Procure and provision laptops, manage accounts and access, and handle the day-to-day tech that keeps people working. Solve low-level IT before it reaches an engineer.
  • Benefits and people admin. Own benefits docs, enrollment, and routine people questions. Keep records clean and accurate.
  • Recruiting operations. Support interview scheduling and candidate flow in Ashby. Keep the pipeline moving, candidates informed, and interviewers on time. You own the process long term.
  • Office and events. Run the NYC office. Plan team events and offsites. Help coordinate our presence at conferences and attend when it helps.
  • Executive support. EA support for the leadership team when needed.

Be a strategic partner to leadership
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
  • First 30. You know the team, the tools, and the gaps. Laptops and accounts are provisioned without anyone chasing you. Onboarding runs to a checklist you wrote. Benefits questions come to you and get answered same day.
  • First 60. New hires get a real first week, every time, because you built it. Interview scheduling in Ashby is yours. Candidates hear back fast and never go dark. The office runs without leadership thinking about it.
  • First 90. You own people ops end to end. The system runs whether you are in the room or not. You are already fixing things no one asked you to fix, and the next hire is faster and smoother than the last.

Ideal Background:
Must-haves
  • Experience as an EA, office manager, or people / recruiting ops at a Series A or B startup
  • Comfortable with technology and low-level IT: laptop provisioning, accounts, access, basic troubleshooting
  • Organized and self-directed. You build the system, then run it, without being managed
  • Strong written communication and a high bar for how things feel to a new hire or a candidate
  • Based in NYC and able to be in the office regularly
  • Excited to build from scratch and AI-native in how you work

Nice-to-haves
  • Hands-on Ashby experience, plus recruiting coordination
  • Experience planning marketing conferences and events
  • Benefits administration experience (Gusto)
  • Worked at a fast-scaling startup juggling multiple workstreams at once
  • Healthcare or AI startup background
