Job description

Caregiver | $23–$27 per Hour | Paid Training | Flexible Scheduling

Join a Family That Puts People First!

At Seniors Helping Seniors® Peninsula San Francisco, we believe great care starts with great people. Our people-first culture means we value the seniors we serve just as much as the caregivers who make our mission possible.

We're looking for kind, dependable individuals to provide non-medical, in-home care that helps older adults remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.

If you've cared for a parent, grandparent, spouse, neighbor, or friend, we'd love to meet you. Professional caregiving experience is always appreciated, but it's not required. We provide paid training, ongoing support, and flexible scheduling to help you succeed.

Why Join Us?

  • $23–$27 per hour (based on experience)
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Paid training
  • Supportive, locally owned team
  • Meaningful, purpose-driven work
  • Opportunities to build lasting relationships with seniors
  • Ongoing training and support

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and conversation
  • Prepare meals
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry
  • Offer medication reminders
  • Provide transportation to appointments and errands
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support when needed

Qualifications

We're looking for compassionate, dependable people who genuinely enjoy helping older adults.

If you've cared for a parent, grandparent, spouse, neighbor, or friend, your experience matters. The patience, kindness, and dedication you've shown while caring for someone you love are qualities we value in every caregiver.

Professional experience as a Caregiver, Home Care Aide, Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Personal Care Assistant is welcomed but not required. Because we provide non-medical in-home care, we provide paid training to help you feel confident and successful in your role.

Requirements

  • Valid California driver's license
  • Reliable transportation with current auto insurance
  • Smartphone for scheduling and care documentation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Negative TB test (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Preferred: California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration and/or previous caregiving experience. Qualified applicants without an HCA Registration are encouraged to apply. We'll help guide you through the registration process.
