Penn State Health is recruiting for the role of Division Chief of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology. The successful candidate will lead our team of 5 Interventional Radiologists and 6 Physician Assistants to grow the academic mission at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. The candidate will also collaborate with the community practice division leaders in integration of interventional radiology services across the Penn State Health system. Competitive salary and administrative time will be provided.
Position Details:
Currently the Division of Interventional Radiology performs a full spectrum of standard and complex body interventional services which also provides an excellent training environment for our integrated and independent IR/DR residency program. In addition to venous access procedures, GI/GU interventions, and IVC Filter / PE interventions, the division has a strong interventional oncology program, offering chemoembolization, radioembolization and percutaneous tumor ablations. The division supports liver transplant and surgical oncology services with a full spectrum of biliary and portal venous interventions to include TIPS, BRTO and mesenteric venous stenting. The division also supports our level one trauma center, stroke center and mechanical circulatory support program.
Requirements:
  • Candidates must be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
  • Medical degree: M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program; and completion of an accredited Fellowship Training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. CAQ in Vascular Interventional Radiology, a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology.
  • Currently holds the academic rank of Associate Professor or higher.
  • Licensed for the practice of medicine in the State of Pennsylvania prior to the start of employment is required.
  • A strong commitment to patient care, medical student and resident education and research/scholarly activity is necessary.
  • Experience in community and academic interventional radiology services is a plus
