Position Description:
The Heart Group of Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a full-time BC/BE Cardiologist with fellowship training in Advanced Cardiac Imaging to provide high level and patient-centered Cardiology care. Preferably, the candidate should have done additional training over the three-year General Cardiology Fellowship in CT and MRI. The Heart Group is a highly productive, well-established, hospital-owned busy practice that has been serving the Lancaster community for over 35 years. We are comprised of 30+ cardiologists and 20+ nurse practitioners with subspecialties that include interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, non-invasive/general cardiology, advanced lipidology, electrophysiology and advanced heart failure services. The group is recognized nationally for leading-edge treatments for heart failure, heart rhythm disorders and lipid management.
As a forward-thinking group, our team participates in over 20 clinical trials, encourages and supports research endeavors. The Heart Group has pioneered interventional techniques and programs including ATTR amyloid screening, thoracic aortic aneurysm and valve surveillance. These programs are the first in Central PA. We have mature, busy nuclear cardiology (>3000 per year), CT FFR (>1500 per year) and cardiac MRI (>600 per year) programs and have participated in clinical trials using these modalities. Our advanced imagers work closely with our robust structural heart program, with procedures including tricuspid, mitral, LAA, ASD/PFO and aortic valve interventions. Our providers are committed to providing excellent care with state-of-the-art technology and work collaboratively with primary care and other specialty providers in the Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Network to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to Cardiology care.
Position Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine (Allopathic/Osteopathic)
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiology residency
  • Completion of an accredited Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship
  • Possess or able to obtain an unrestricted PA Medical License
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
