Job description

Senior QA Automation Test Engineer

Contract Duration: Through December 31, 2026 (Potential for extension or conversion)

Location: Remote – Anywhere in the United States

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (No overtime expected initially)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Test Engineer to join a growing Agile team supporting an enterprise automation initiative. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions that ensure the quality and reliability of robotic process automation (RPA) applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience with PEGA RPA, automation testing, Agile development, and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for enterprise applications.

  • Translate acceptance criteria into automated test cases and execute comprehensive test plans.

  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.

  • Perform test planning, execution, defect tracking, and root cause analysis.

  • Conduct automation code reviews and promote QA automation best practices.

  • Support release validation, production readiness, and deployment activities.

  • Provide regular updates on assigned work and proactively identify and resolve project impediments.

Top Required Skills (Ranked)
  1. 5+ years of PEGA RPA experience (Required)

  2. 7+ years of QA Automation and software testing experience

  3. Test planning, execution, and defect management

  4. Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and release validation

  5. Experience developing automation using Java and/or Python

  6. Experience with CI/CD tools and cloud technologies

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on enterprise automation or RPA projects.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience conducting automation code reviews.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within Agile teams.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).

Additional Notes
  • This is a new project supporting a large enterprise automation initiative.

  • Candidates must have PEGA RPA experience. Applicants without this experience will not be considered.

  • Opportunity to contribute to additional automation projects beyond the initial assignment based on performance.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment sponsorship.
