Job description

The Adjunct Music Instructor is responsible for providing quality music instruction to our students. The instructor is responsible for providing one-on-one instruction so that students are able to successfully complete graduation requirements and/or personal goals in an engaging environment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • The primary responsibilities of the Adjunct Music Instructor is teaching weekly private music lessons in qualified areas of voice and/or instrument.
  • Preparing music students for performances
  • Maintaining a written record of each student's preparation and progress throughout the semester
  • Reporting as needed to the department head or program coordinator
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field is required. Preference given to professionals with teaching experience, ideally at the secondary level. The ideal candidate will be:

  • a student-centered educator
  • an effective oral and written communicator
  • eager to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • committed to improving their practice through peer observation
  • dedicated to making positive contributions to the student experience and in student performance preparations

Pay rate: $55/lesson

Additional Requirements:
  • Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment criminal background checks and drug test.
  • Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
  • Work is performed on a smoke-free campus.
