Job description

Pediatric Hospitalist

We are seeking a full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to join a well-established and collaborative pediatric care team. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice high-quality inpatient pediatric medicine in a Level II Trauma Center. The Pediatric Hospitalist will provide pediatric inpatient ward coverage in a 30-bed unit with an average daily census of 16 to 18 patients. Responsibilities include performing newborn nursery examinations and conducting Emergency Department pediatric consultations. The Pediatric Hospitalist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary pediatric care team, including subspecialists and intensivists. Close work with a pediatric intensive care unit staffed by dedicated pediatric intensivists is expected. Participation in the teaching and education of pediatric residents and medical students is part of the role. The position allows engagement in an academic environment through affiliation with a medical school. High-quality, patient-centered pediatric care aligned with established standards is fundamental to this role. Candidates should be willing to relocate if not already residing in the area. This is not a locum tenens position. Candidate must not require visa support for employment.
