Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist - Leukemia & Hematopoietic Cell Therapy and Transplant (HCTT)
Assistant/Associate Professor, Department of Pediatrics
Banner-University Medical Center/University of Arizona College of Medicine | Tucson, Arizona
The University of Arizona Department of Pediatrics is recruiting an outstanding Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist with a focus in leukemias, and hematopoietic cell therapy and transplantation (HCTT) to join our growing division in Tucson.
You will join a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and HCTT division of six faculty physicians and six advanced practice providers integrated with a subdivision in Phoenix of an additional five faculty and five APPs, a combined program that delivers the full spectrum of pediatric cancer, cell therapy, and transplant care across Arizona. Our cellular therapy and transplant program has been FACT-accredited since 2000 and works in close collaboration with the adult HCTT services all anchored by the University of Arizona Cancer Center, the state's only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
This is a position for a clinician who wants to build. As our cell therapy and transplant program expands, you will help shape its growth, mentor junior faculty and trainees, and develop a clinical or translational research interest with dedicated institutional support.
What you'll do:
  • Manage leukemia, lymphoma, and hematopoietic cell therapy and transplant patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Contribute to clinical and translational research aligned with your interests and the program's direction
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Collaborate across the division, department, the adult/pediatric HCTT program, and the University of Arizona Cancer Center.
What we are looking for:
  • Board certification (or board eligibility) in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
  • Clinical focus and strength in leukemia, cell therapy and transplantation
  • Interest in clinical or translational research
  • A collaborative approach and the desire to mentor, lead, and grow with the team.
