Job description

This position offers an exciting opportunity for the selected candidate to be part of Donohue & Associates, a firm with national water/wastewater expertise in a small company environment. We are seeking an experienced engineer who can increase Donohue's water and wastewater market share through client and project interactions. You will acquire new clients and maintain existing relationships while working closely with Donohue project team members throughout the planning, design, construction, and operational services phase of a project.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a technical resource, planning and designing water and wastewater systems.
  • Identify and pursue strategic target clients to drive growth across Minnesota and neighboring states.
  • Lead relationship-building efforts with clients, meeting routinely to understand challenges and arming Donohue with institutional knowledge essential for winning and executing successful projects.
  • Champion client interests within the organization while following Donohue's contractual commitments and values to manage client satisfaction.
  • Provide insights to ensure Donohue proposals comprehensively address client concerns, objectives, and goals.
  • Serve as a Project Manager when needed, effectively directing multi-discipline project teams to meet budget, schedule and quality control procedures.
  • Provide quality control reviews in area of technical expertise.
  • Actively engage in professional organizations and industry-related events to increase awareness of Donohue's unique and exceptional capabilities.

Requirements:
  • M.S., B.S. in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or related engineering degree.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • PE registration.
  • Client-focused, active listener with established relationships in the Minnesota market.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven project management skills with delivering quality work on time and within budget.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with clients and design teams.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $115,000 - $170,000. Actual compensation will depend on education, experience, expertise, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and organizational needs.
