The 2EB team operates a 20-bed unit as part of the Union Hospital Certified Primary Stroke Center, specializing in the care of patients experiencing stroke or stroke symptoms, and provides focused care for open-heart patients transitioning to home and diabetes management.

Patient Care Technician Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Collaborate with RN staff to assess patients' needs and report concerns.
- Assist in developing and modifying care plans, prioritize patient problems, and perform medical tasks.
- Provide patient education, follow policies, respond to emergencies, and act as a patient advocate while respecting rights and confidentiality.
- Evaluate interventions, maintain professionalism, and seek assistance when needed.
Qualifications:
- Basic medical knowledge and patient care procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
License/Certification:
Candidate must have one of the following:
• Valid Indiana CNA license, or
• Agree to complete the Union Health PCT Training program upon hire.
• Must be certified in healthcare provider BLS upon hire.
